Atlanta Braves second baseman Ozzie Albies informed reporters this weekend that he intends to return to the lineup earlier than the common season concludes on Sept. 29. There’s only one catch: Albies, a pure switch-hitter, can be restricted to batting righty.

“Everyone on the workforce is asking me when I’ll be again,” Albies mentioned, based on MLB.com’s Mark Bowman. “I need to be sure that I can simply verify the bins that have to be checked to be 100% able to play, and that is it.”

Albies, 27, has not appeared on the big-league stage since July 21 after struggling a fractured left wrist.
