Auburn freshman tight finish Hollis Davidson III was arrested and charged with felony possession of a Schedule I managed substance on July 28, in response to police information obtained by the Montgomery Advertiser. An Auburn spokesperson informed the publication that Davidson has been “suspended for violation of staff guidelines” after initially taking part within the staff’s preseason exercises. 

Davidson was approached by Peachtree Metropolis, Georgia, legislation enforcement on June 19 after he was seen outdoors a closed enterprise close to a golf cart. Officers discovered free marijuana within the golf cart and a THC vape pen in Davidson’s pocket, although an arrest warrant was not issued till July 26 after additional testing confirmed the substance inside Davidson’s vape. 

He was launched July 29 on a $5,000 bond. 

The 6-foot-5 and 238-pound Davidson signed with Auburn in 2025 out of Peachtree Metropolis’s McIntosh Excessive Faculty. He was a four-star prospect and the No. 12 tight finish in his class. 

Davidson is the third Auburn soccer participant to be arrested for the reason that begin of July. On July 8, linebacker D.J. Barber was arrested on three drug-related fees, together with trafficking, and on July 16 Auburn vast receiver Malcolm Simmons was arrested and charged with home violence involving strangulation or suffocation.
